 Lost and Confused

Bottom Contents Page Introduction

This work is designed to be viewed from all sides. Each side has nine 'windows' opening onto twenty seven 'rooms'. Many interconnect to provide internal views.

The work is made of foam card covered with tissue paper and situated over a light box containing a fluorescent tube.

This is an experimental piece designed to confuse the senses and see just what can be achieved with a few well placed mirrors to distort ones perception of interior space. At some points the viewer looks through the work and straight out the other side, but other views are more convoluted and lead the eye through lengthy passages, up down and around corners before exiting from the maze. I like the idea of a confusing interior that appears bigger on the inside than ordinary geometry would allow.   The Maze: General View
