I am Jeremy Barton and I make a living out of converting and letting out commercial buildings. I have four children and a PhD in Sociology. I have taught architecture students and made furniture. I have been a university research fellow and the director of a centre for alternative medicine. I have designed furniture and web sites and I suffer from ME. | ![]() |

I am fascinated with light and by light. I like light effects, light machines, party lights, Christmas lights and the things that the sun does in reflection, shadow and pattern. All the work shown here uses artificial or natural light as a major element. The aim is to entertain, amaze, amuse and generally engage other like minded people who might enjoy what I do. |
I make illuminated objects or 'light works' for the fun of doing so. It may be that these are works of art but my main concern is that they should be works of pleasure. And there is little pleasure to be had from objects unless they are shared with others. This site is part of my attempt to share what I make. When I am fed up with the fiddly business of making stuff I take photos of light related subjects. | ![]() |
